A household pickup built around the actual job
Residential junk removal is useful when unwanted items are taking up space and carrying them out yourself is the difficult part. TaskBull accepts requests for furniture, appliances, household clutter, garage contents, and outdoor junk across Toronto, the GTA, and the surrounding service areas. You can ask about one item, a group of rooms, or a mixed load. The quote should reflect the contents and access rather than a vague description of “some stuff.”
A good starting point is a simple inventory: a three-seat sofa, two bed frames, six boxes, and a broken shelving unit says more than “half a garage.” Add photos showing both the items and the way out. If you are unsure what fits a normal pickup, use the service directory below and explain the unusual items in your request. Acceptance, price, and timing are confirmed with you before work.
Inside pickup or curbside junk removal?
For an indoor pickup, describe every floor and stairway on the route. A walkout basement differs from a narrow interior staircase; a ground-floor apartment differs from an upper-floor condo with a reserved service elevator. Tell us about landings, tight turns, door widths, loading bays, and parking restrictions. This makes the carrying plan more accurate and helps prevent a quote based on the wrong assumptions.
Curbside junk removal may suit an accessible load that is already outside, but moving it there is your responsibility unless carrying is included in the agreed service. Do not leave belongings on a sidewalk or shared area before checking the placement and confirmed pickup arrangements. Mark the items that are being collected so they are not confused with something being kept, delivered, or offered for sale.
Furniture, appliances, and electronics need different details
For furniture, note the type, size, and condition. A sleeper sofa or a solid-wood cabinet can require a different approach from a lightweight chair. For appliance removal, explain whether the appliance is freestanding, built in, stacked, or connected to water, gas, or electricity. The pickup request does not automatically include trade disconnections or modifications to the property.
For electronics, list the devices and flag damaged batteries separately. Remove accounts and personal data before handing over a device; ordinary e-waste collection is not a certified data-destruction service. If an item is suitable for reuse, say so and include its condition. Donation acceptance is a separate decision made by the receiving organization, and cannot be assumed from a pickup booking.
Choose the right route for household garbage removal
Private garbage removal and municipal collection serve different needs. A private pickup can include an agreed carrying and loading service, while public collection follows local eligibility, item, placement, and calendar rules. In Toronto, the City lists several types of furniture and appliances as oversized items collected through its residential program, while construction and renovation materials are excluded from that oversized-item service. Check the City of Toronto’s current oversized-item guidance before paying for a service you might not need.
TaskBull is a private service, rather than the municipal collection authority. If you need your regular bin schedule or want to report a missed public pickup, use your municipality’s waste service. If the challenge is getting agreed items out of a home, clearing multiple rooms, or coordinating a private pickup, include those requirements in a TaskBull quote request.
Get a useful quote without guessing the price
Item type, load volume, weight, carrying distance, stairs, and location all influence a residential quote. Heavy soil or masonry should not be described as ordinary bags of household junk. Give separate estimates for these materials and identify anything with chemicals, fuel, pressurized cylinders, sharp edges, or unknown contents. The more specific the request, the easier it is to agree on what is included.
If you are looking for cheap junk removal in Toronto, compare complete scopes: collection point, labour, dismantling where agreed, hauling, disposal, and any applicable additional charges. The lowest starting price is not necessarily the lowest final total. You can often make quoting simpler by combining the item list, setting aside what stays, and choosing a practical access window. Ask for the agreed price before the pickup begins.
Before your residential pickup
- Separate the keep pile from the remove pile, including anything belonging to another person.
- Send your city, postal area, item list, and preferred date, together with access photos.
- Explain stairs, elevator reservations, parking, pets, building rules, and heavy or unusual items.
- Identify restricted materials separately and confirm acceptance rather than mixing them into the load.
- Wait for the confirmed scope, quote, and appointment before making arrangements that depend on the pickup.
For larger transitions, see house clearance and cleanout services. For bulky pieces, use the focused furniture removal guide. Business premises and renovation debris have their own service pages so the quote can follow the work you actually need.

Apartment Cleanout+
Plan the item list, elevator reservation, loading access, and final handover together. Separate belongings that stay before the removal begins.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Appliance Removal+
Tell us the appliance type, dimensions, floor level, and whether it is disconnected. Built-in units and unusual access need an individual assessment.
Attic Cleanout+
Identify the boxes and loose household items to be removed, and describe the access hatch, stairs, headroom, and carrying route.
Basement Cleanout+
List stored furniture, bags, shelving, and other clutter. Stair turns, ceiling height, and walkout access help define the work.
BBQ Grill Removal+
Include the barbecue size and its location on a deck, balcony, or patio. Keep propane cylinders separate and disclose any connected fuel supply.
Bereavement Cleanout+
A room-by-room keep list and a nominated contact help make decisions easier. Documents, photographs, and sentimental belongings should be set aside first.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Cardboard Removal+
Estimate the number of flattened boxes or the size of the pile. Keep packaging separate from mixed household and renovation material.
Carpet Removal+
Say whether carpeting and underlay are already lifted, rolled, or still installed. Include the approximate area and any stair carpeting.
Car Parts Recycling+
Describe each part and disclose fluids, batteries, sharp edges, or unusually heavy components. Acceptance and a suitable material route must be confirmed.
Christmas Tree Removal+
Specify whether the tree is natural or artificial, its size, and the pickup access. Remove personal decorations before an agreed collection.
Couch Removal+
Share the sofa type, approximate dimensions, and any sleeper mechanism. A sectional, narrow doorway, or basement staircase can change the lifting plan.
Crawlspace Cleanout+
Provide access dimensions and photographs taken from a safe position. Confined access, dampness, contamination, or unstable materials need assessment before work.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Curbside Junk Removal+
A clearly identified, accessible pile helps distinguish your pickup from items that stay. Confirm permitted placement and the collection time before moving anything outside.
Debris Removal+
Describe the debris rather than calling it mixed junk. Wood, drywall, soil, metal, and household waste can require different handling and load planning.
Dirt Removal+
Give an estimated volume, the source of the soil, and equipment access. Soil is weight-sensitive, and unknown or contaminated material requires a separate assessment.
E Waste Removal+
List electronics and accessories, including damaged batteries. Remove personal data before collection; pickup does not include a promise of certified data destruction.
Estate Cleanout+
Coordinate the approved scope with the person responsible for the property. Label furniture, valuables, records, and any items being retained or distributed.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Eviction Cleanout+
Confirm that the person booking has authority to dispose of the contents. Access, retained belongings, and any legal restrictions must be resolved before pickup.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Exercise Equipment Removal+
Include the brand or model, weight if known, and whether the equipment can be moved in sections. Treadmills and weight stations need clear access details.
Fence Removal+
Tell us whether panels are already detached or whether dismantling is being requested. Posts, concrete footings, access, and shared boundaries affect the scope.
Foreclosure Cleanout+
Identify the authorized property contact, rooms included, and material to retain. A clear inventory helps separate a contents cleanout from repair or remediation work.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Fridge Removal+
Include the refrigerator dimensions, access route, and whether it is freestanding or built in. Empty the unit and arrange any required disconnection before pickup.
Furniture Donation+
Usable furniture can be assessed for a potential reuse route. Acceptance depends on condition, item type, and the receiving organization; a donation or receipt is not guaranteed.
Furniture Removal+
Arrange removal for chairs, dressers, tables, desks, bed frames, and other bulky pieces. An item list and access photographs help make the quote specific.
Garage Cleanout+
Decide which tools, equipment, and stored belongings stay. Flag paint, fuel, cylinders, and other special materials separately from the ordinary contents.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Garbage Collection+
Request a one-time private pickup for an agreed load of household garbage. Routine municipal bin collection and missed public collections follow a separate service.
Grill Removal+
Describe the grill, stand, fuel source, and access. Let us know if you need a whole outdoor cooking setup assessed rather than a single portable unit.
Hoarding Cleanout+
Start with an agreed area, decision process, and safe access. Tell us about sharps, pests, odours, or contamination so specialist requirements can be identified.
Read the cleanout guide ↗House Cleanout+
Create a room-by-room inventory with clear keep and remove labels. Include sheds, basements, attics, and outside areas only when they form part of the agreed scope.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Indoor Junk Removal+
Request carrying and loading from inside the property. Explain floor protection needs, stairs, narrow passages, and any restrictions imposed by the building.
Junk Removal+
Bring an item list, photos, pickup location, and access notes together in one request. The pickup plan is confirmed around the actual contents and conditions.
Metal Removal+
Identify the type and approximate amount of metal, including awkward or heavy pieces. Separate sealed containers, electrical components, and items with remaining fluids.
Moving Junk Removal+
Schedule removal around your move-out deadline and identify the last items that need to stay. Separate moving boxes and personal documents from unwanted contents.
Piano Removal+
Include the piano type, floor, stairs, dimensions, and access photographs. This is a specialty lifting request whose feasibility and handling must be assessed first.
Patio Stone Removal+
Give the approximate number, size, thickness, and whether the stones are lifted or still installed. Heavy masonry is assessed by weight and access.
Pool Table Removal+
Specify the table size, whether it has a slate bed, and the route out. Dismantling and specialty lifting need to be agreed before collection.
Property Cleanout+
Define the buildings, rooms, outdoor areas, and contents included. A shared written scope helps owners, tenants, and managers coordinate the same pickup.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Shed Cleanout+
Separate a shed contents pickup from removing the shed structure itself. Describe shelving, stored tools, access, and any chemicals or fuel inside.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Soil Removal+
Provide the source and approximate amount of soil, plus any history of contamination. Soil is assessed separately from a light household load.
Storage Unit Cleanout+
Confirm unit access, facility hours, loading distance, and who can authorize disposal. Bring the correct key or access code to the confirmed appointment.
Read the cleanout guide ↗Spa Removal+
Explain whether the spa is disconnected, drained, freestanding, or built into a deck. Dismantling and removal depend on the structure and access.
Tiles Removal+
Specify whether tiles are already removed or still fixed in place. Include the area, backing material, and whether concrete or other dense debris is mixed in.
Washer & Dryer Recycling+
List the units, access route, and connection status. Electrical, plumbing, gas, and stacked-unit arrangements need to be clarified in advance.
Waste Removal+
Describe the source and contents of the load. An accurate material list helps distinguish household waste from restricted, heavy, or specialist waste.
Wood Removal+
Identify lumber, furniture wood, fence panels, or renovation offcuts separately. Let us know about nails, coatings, treated timber, and any attached materials.
Yard Junk Removal+
List unwanted outdoor furniture, broken equipment, loose items, and other yard clutter. Keep soil, garden organics, and chemicals clearly identified.
Questions, cleared up.
Can I request just one item?+
Yes. List the item and where it is located. A single-item request still needs access and handling details before the price and appointment can be confirmed.
Do you remove items from inside a home?+
You can request inside carrying and loading. Describe the floor, stairs, doors, elevator, parking, and any building restrictions so the scope can be assessed.
Is residential junk removal free?+
TaskBull is a paid private service. Some municipal or donation routes may suit eligible items, but those options have their own conditions and do not mean a TaskBull pickup is free.
